Project Architect

Job Summary: Hohe Design Group is seeking a Project Architect with 5+ years of experience to join our team. This is a permanent position. This role requires a highly organized and adaptable professional who is available 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., M-F. Must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office 365 suite. Compensation based on experience.

The successful candidate will have the ability to execute and lead small projects through all phases of design, documentation, and administration, as well as actively support large projects within an expanded team setting. This position encourages creativity in problem solving to promote technical and design excellence while ensuring building code and regulatory compliance. Project size, type and responsibility will vary, including renovation and new construction opportunities. This position will require a high level of coordination with others within a team environment. Project work may include all levels of design, including regulatory code studies, conceptual design, design development, detailed design, and construction administration.


  • Must be able to demonstrate experience and complete ability to perform Architectural Basic Services including Construction Phase Services
  • Work independently (on small projects) to execute all phases of design, including programming, planning, concept development, detailed design, and construction administration
  • Attend meetings to identify, evaluate and document client’s requests, code, and programming requirements
  • Ability to understand project drivers and implications to develop creative solutions
  • Generate design and construction models and associated documentation utilizing Revit BIM software
  • Ability to generate code analysis, life safety and egress plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules as part of a comprehensive construction document package
  • Develop and generate studies, presentations, and reports
  • Research and apply International Building Code, local jurisdictions, and other regulatory requirements as part of project delivery process
  • Work closely with Engineering and Construction personnel to develop and ensure coordinated and constructible designs
  • Participate and contribute during drawing reviews, coordination meetings and quality checks
  • Provide mentorship to Architectural Interns and/or Design Staff

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Experience with 3D modeling/visualization software preferred but not required
  • Relevant knowledge of International Building Code, OSHA Regulations and ADA Standards
  • Ability to interface with clients and external partners
  • Flexibility for moderate travel in support of project-based or training activities
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Architectural license in good standing

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites
  • May be required to travel for short periods of time
